  1. Why do I need to register on the website via the application form and not by email?
    Filling in the online form is important in order to get a spot on the waitlist. Emails are not waitlisted.

  2. Is the online application form binding?
    No, the application is not bound to anything. However, it is important to get a spot on the waitlist. After examining the application, you will receive a confirmation or refusal from the landlord. Once the contract is signed, the contractual relationship is legally binding.

  3. Is there a minimum rental contract term?
    In principle, the user agreement is concluded for twelve months. The student apartments are managed all year round.

  4. When does the rental contract start?
    The usage contract can be concluded for the 1st or 15th of a given month.

  5. Confirmation of studies
    Your application for our Student Residence can only be considered if you attach a valid confirmation of studies to your application. Excluded from this are first-year students in their first semester. These students must provide confirmation of studies as soon as possible.

  6. Where and when do I get the residence key?
    The apartment key is handed over after you sign the contract or pay the first month’s rent, the administration fee and the security rental deposit. You can make appointments with the Techno-Z Campus Administration at: Ph.: 0043 662 45 48 88-205, Mon-Fri: 09:00 - 12:30.

  7. What documents are required upon handover of the key?
    Official photo ID, confirmation of the security deposit, the first month’s rent and the administration fee, along with confirmation of studies.

  8. How long will my application remain on the waitlist?
    The application is valid for the current semester.

  9. How do I pay the rent?
    You must arrange for a direct debit order. Exception: foreign bank connections.

  10. Can an apartment also be used for two people?
    A limited number of student apartments in Campus 3 can also accommodate two people (double occupancy, only for couples). + + + ATTENTION: The quota has already been reached. No possibilities for double occupancy for term 2018/19 any more. + + +  For double occupancy, a second bed is provided. The second user must also complete an application form.   11. How are the rooms equipped?
    Bed with mattress (no bedding), wardrobe, desk, dining table, coatrack, shower/toilet, kitchen set with two hotplates, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, kitchen cupboard, cable TV connection, Internet connection.

  12. Is any dishware available?
    No.

  13. Who cleans the apartments?
    Each tenant should do their own cleaning. The landlord checks the condition of the apartment once a year.

  14. Can I bring my own bed?
    Yes. In this case, the building administration will put the existing bed in storage. For this, a monthly storage fee of € 5.00 is collected.

  15. Is there TV?
    There is a cable connection in each student apartment. Each tenant must bring their own TV with a DVB-C receiver.

  16. What do I need for an Internet connection?
    Your own computer with network card and network cable. There is no additional charge for downloads.

  17. Are pets allowed?
    No.

  18. Can I cancel the contract?
    Cancellation must be done in writing (including e-mail). The periods of notice stated in the contract of use apply.

  19. Do I have to paint the apartment when moving out?
    No. Only a thorough cleaning needs to be done.

  20. How do I get a parking pass for when I am moving in?
    For stress-free entry and exit, students can obtain a “moving parking pass” from the Student Residence administration.
