- Why do I need to register on the website via the application form and not by email?
Filling in the online form is important in order to get a spot on the waitlist. Emails are not waitlisted.
- For how long does the application remain on the waitlist?
The application is valid only for the current semester.
- Is the online application form binding?
No, the application is not bound to anything. However, it is important to get a spot on the waitlist. After examining the application, you will receive a confirmation or refusal from the landlord. Once the contract is signed, the contractual relationship is legally binding.
- Is there a minimum rental contract term?
In principle, the user agreement is concluded for twelve months. The student apartments are managed all year round.
- When does the rental contract start?
The usage contract can be concluded for the 1st or 15th of a given month.
- Confirmation of studies
Your application for our Student Residence can only be considered if you attach a valid confirmation of studies to your application. Excluded from this are first-year students in their first semester. These students must provide confirmation of studies as soon as possible.

- Where and when do I get the residence key?
The apartment key is handed over after signing the contract and payment of the first month’s rent, the administration fee and the security rental deposit.
- What documents are required upon handover of the key?

- Until when do I have to register or cancel my residence here?
Register: within three days from the date of moving into the apartment at the registration office of the City of Salzburg. Unsubscribe: within three days of leaving the apartment.

- How do I pay the rent?
You must arrange for a direct debit order. Exception: foreign bank connections.
- Can an apartment also be used for two people?

A limited number of student apartments in Campus 3 can accommodate couples (double occupancy is ONLY for couples). For double occupancy, a second bed is provided. The second user must also complete an application form. The prices for double occupancy change. See: Rooms and rates.
The entry of a pregnancy has to be reported to the student residence management as soon as possible. The current academic year can of course be terminated, so that a stress-free housing search for expectant mothers is guaranteed. The Techno-Z dormitory is not geared for families.
- Can I cancel the contract?
Cancellation must be done in writing (including e-mail). The periods of notice stated in the contract of use apply.
- Do I have to paint the apartment when moving out?
No. Only a thorough cleaning needs to be done.
- How do I get a parking pass for when I am moving in?
For stress-free entry and exit, students can obtain a “moving parking pass” from the Student Residence administration.
- How are the rooms equipped?

- Is any dishware available?
- Who cleans the apartments?
Each tenant should do his/her own cleaning. The landlord checks the condition of the apartment once a year.
- Can I bring my own bed?
Yes. In this case, the building administration will put the existing bed in storage. For this, a monthly storage fee of € 5.00 is collected.
- Is there TV?
There is a cable connection in each student apartment. Each tenant must bring their own TV with a DVB-C receiver.
- Internet & WiFi
Each student apartment has a LAN connection. WiFi use in the apartments and on the campus area (Techno-Zfreewifi also outdoors) possible.
- Fire alarm system
Each campus building is equipped with a fire alarm system. There is a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket on each floor. In campuses 3 and 4 smoke detectors are located in all corridors.

- Receiving packages (Amazon, etc.)
The delivery to the student residence apartments does not always work perfectly. That's why we offer a free package acceptance service. Correct addressing: see sample. Please notify Natascha Pogatschnig in the Techno Z Information, ground floor Techno 10, immediately after the first order.

Upon receipt of the delivery, the recipient will be informed by phone or email and the package can be picked up during the opening hours of Techno-Z Information.

- The bulbs for the student apartment can be purchased in the Techno-Z information in Techno 10, EG.
Two laundry rooms with coin-operated washing machines (€ 1.00 per load) and dryer (€ 1.00 per dryer load).
- Common room
On the ground floor of Campus 2 there is a common room.
- Own cellar compartment
If the apartment is getting too small: We have additional storage space in the basement (€ 10 per cellar per month).
- Bicycle and car parking
There are two lockable bike rooms in the cellar. Parking spots (parking spot in underground garage) € 90.00/month/incl VAT.
- Public transport
The Techno-Z Student Residence is very well served by public transport. Tain stations and bus stops can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.

Restaurant ZET (Techno 3): The head chef conjures up three freshly cooked menus daily: Mon-Fri 11:30-14:00
No breakfast in the fridge? No problem. The bistro in Techno 12 serves breakfast and snacks: Mon-Fri: 07:00-14:00.
